is an Indonesian furniture business founded and developed by Iwan Mulyadi, with a focus on bamboo furniture and flat-pack/knock-down construction.

Our approach combines design experience, furniture development, craftsmanship and Indonesian bamboo to create furniture with a clear functional and commercial purpose.

We believe that bamboo furniture should not be limited to traditional forms.

It can be contemporary.

It can be functional.

It can be carefully designed.

And it can be developed for international markets.

GUROBA develops furniture around three main principles:

01 — MATERIAL

We work with bamboo as a distinctive Indonesian material, allowing its natural character to become part of the design.

02 — DESIGN

We approach furniture as a designed product rather than simply a handmade craft object.

Proportion, structure, usability and visual character are considered during product development.

03 — FLAT-PACK

Our furniture is developed with Flat-Pack / Knock-Down construction where appropriate.

This approach allows furniture to be disassembled for:

• More efficient packaging
• Easier storage
• Easier transportation
• More practical handling
• Potentially more efficient international shipping

GUROBA is currently developing its products toward international B2B markets.

Since 2022, Iwan Mulyadi has been involved with Export Academy (EA) as part of the process of learning and preparing for international trade.
